When comparing the latest statistics on American baby names with the latest available data on baby names in the UK (2021 statistics, published in October 2022), significant differences emerge, particularly with regard to the most popular names for boys.

In the United States, Liam has held the top boy name position for six years in a row. In contrast, Noah currently holds the title of most popular boy name in the UK, surpassing the previously dominant name Oliver.

The names Liam, James, Elijah, William, Lucas, Benjamin and Theodore are among the top ten names in the US but rank lower on the UK list.

Conversely, George, Arthur, Mohammed, Leo, Harry, Oscar, Archie and Henry top the UK list but rank lower on the US list.
